The short version: Photo estimates are free. Onsite estimates now require a small booking deposit that gets credited toward your job.

Most Jobs Don’t Need an Onsite Visit
After 15+ years of grinding stumps across central PA, we can accurately quote the majority of jobs from a few good photos. Send us a picture of your stump with something next to it for scale — a shoe, a tape measure, whatever you’ve got — and we’ll have a price range back to you within 24 hours.
No scheduling. No waiting around for us to show up. No taking time off work. You text us, we quote you, done.

When You Do Need Us There in Person
Some jobs are more complex. Maybe the stump is in a tight spot between a fence and a foundation. Maybe there are underground utilities to consider. Maybe you’ve got a dozen stumps on a commercial property and want us to walk the whole site.

There’s a booking deposit: $35 for jobs within 25 miles of Elizabethtown, $50 beyond that. And here’s the important part: that deposit comes right off your bill when you hire us. It’s not a fee — it’s a down payment on the work.
Why the Change?
Honestly? We were spending too much time and fuel driving to properties where the person just needed a ballpark number. We’d drive 50 miles round trip, spend an hour looking at stumps, write up a detailed quote — and never hear back. Sometimes we’d find out they were just collecting prices for a proposal and never intended to hire anyone.
That’s not sustainable for a small business. Every hour we spend on a dead-end estimate is an hour we’re not grinding stumps for actual customers.
The deposit doesn’t exist to nickel-and-dime anyone. It exists to make sure that when we block out time to drive to your property, you’re serious about getting the work done. And since it goes toward your job, it costs you nothing extra if you hire us.
The Process Now
Step 1: Text or email us photos for a free quote. Most people stop here — we can quote accurately from pictures for the majority of residential jobs.
Step 2: If the job needs an in-person look, book online at stumpbustersllc.com/book-estimate. Pay the deposit, pick your time.
Step 3: We show up, assess the job, give you a firm price on the spot. Deposit is credited toward the work.
It’s actually faster than the old way. No phone tag trying to coordinate schedules. No “we’ll call you back to set up a time.” You book it, it’s locked in.
